What marine licence do I need to hire and ride a jet ski?

The primary rider must hold and present a valid PWC (personal watercraft) licence. Any age is accepted as long as you hold a current, full PWC licence. Both Australian state licences and recognised interstate licences are accepted.

Can an unlicenced passenger drive the jet ski?

Yes, an unlicenced rider can drive, provided they are accompanied on the ski at all times by a fully licenced PWC rider who assumes responsibility for safe operation.

What safety gear is supplied with my rental?

We supply all required safety equipment, including properly fitted maritime life jackets, onboard safety kits, and the safety lanyard killswitch fob.

What personal items should I bring along on the day?

We recommend bringing water bottles to stay hydrated, sunscreen, UV sunglasses, and a hat or cap for sun protection while out on the water.

Is there a security bond or pre-departure waiver required?

Yes, all rentals require a $200 refundable security bond and a signed hire waiver before departure. The bond is released after your ski is returned safely with the key.

How does insurance work if something goes wrong?

All riders are fully covered by our comprehensive insurance policy up to $2,000,000. In the event of an accident or damage, the hiring rider is liable for an excess fee of $500.

What navigation rules apply around Mooloolaba?

Mooloolaba Marina and the surrounding waterways are straightforward to navigate. We provide a safety briefing covering local waterway etiquette and simple navigation markers before you set off.

Do I have to launch, tow, or clean the jet ski?

No. We handle all towing, boat ramp launching, retrieval, and thorough washdowns. Simply rock up, enjoy the water, and return the ski with the key fully fuelled when your hire finishes.
